Meet Vivian. She's a 580-year-old vampire who exudes sex, has a talent for drama, and is passionate about two things: her human husband, Rafe, and their resort for the undead. Her ability to project physical illusions has created the perfect vacation spot -- a dark, isolated Alaskan hideaway where visitors can have their wildest fantasies come true.
Vivian knows the best performance requires perfect timing, but the powerful vamp is put to the test when she discovers a corpse in a locked guestroom minutes before the next arrivals. Always cool-headed, Rafe hides the body, convinced that he and Vivian can find the culprit without disturbing their guests.
Juggling the increasingly outrageous demands of their customers while tracking a killer isn't easy. Will their poking and prodding give them the answers they need, or will it uncover secrets that Vivian would kill to protect?
My Thoughts:
As the story opens, Viv and her hubby Rafe, who is human and she has a blood bond with, are getting ready for their guests to show up. Viv discovers a body, and now she and her hubby and their staff are on the hunt for a killer. Viv is a Manipulator, which means she is a vampire that has powers to make other believe AND see things that are not really there or happening, and she is the last one, but with these power's she must keep them a secret as Manipulator's are considered way to powerful to live.
Viv's only has two things that are the most important things to her, her human hubby Rafe, and her resort which is located in Alaska, which I found a very cool place to have a resort, you don't find many resort's in Alaska in a vampire story, I found this very original. So Viv uses her powers to help her guest have a wonderful time while staying at the resort, Viv can see what they want most, what they desire the most......sexually, she is true to her hubby Rafe this ability is only used for her guest's.
I really enjoyed Vampire Vacation, although it's about Vampire's, they is a very diverse and mix of employees and guest, vampires and werewolves and humans and not to mention all the sex. It has lots of sex almost boarding on Erotic but not quite. It was a great mix, through in some mystery, some humor and a great who don-it, you've got your self a great book here. It was nice and easy to read, but pay attention as there are some great twists and turns you won't want to miss out on. I love to read anything paranormal, and this one had pretty much everything I love to read about, well throw in some sex, I did tell you about the sex right lol, and you got yourself a fantastic read. It grabs you right from the beginning and holds you right to the end of the novel. I loved the cover art for the book, that caught my eye right away, It's beautiful.

ReplyDeleteNattie - Thanks for the review! I really appreciate the kind words and your opinion on the cover as I designed them both myself. You never know what will catch the eye of a reader and the purple cover for V V certainly has!
You did a great job here on your blog and I'm grateful for your time and effort. If you'd like to do a giveaway of two sets of ebooks for your commenters, please just let me know. It was mentioned in the media kit, but I'm finding a lot of stops on the tour weren't aware of it.
Oh - and if you have the time, could I beg you to repost your review at Goodreads and Amazon (and/or B&N)? I'm a newbie author and having a well written review like yours really stands out to readers shopping for a book.
